Industrial Bank, Anacostia Branch

ndustrial Bank, the fourth largest minority-owned financial institution in the U.S., asked GGA to develop a new image for their Anacostia banking branch in Washington, DC. The bank wanted to create a space that would reflect its community-oriented mission, foster partnerships within the community, and attract a younger customer base while still appealing to their existing customers. The new design features warm, welcoming colors with dark wood accents as well as a living room setting to embrace the bank’s mission of fostering the financial health of the community and help to create a vibrant local economy. Glass-enclosed offices feature collaborative seating rather than traditional desk and designated guest area to foster collaboration between employee and customer. If the design proves successful, the concept will be will be applied to Industrial Bank’s eight local branches as time and funding allows. .
